In a soccer game, the offensive process is an extraordinary moment of reading the game, allowing each team to know when to make a specific move. Each coach defines how the team will take the ball forward, place it in the area, and try to shoot it. Coordinating each of the phases with the other steps is very significant since each stage depends on the different phases for the team’s success.
A team starts the offensive process from the moment it regains possession of the ball and ends this process when it is out of possession, either through shots, balls out of bounds, or tackles by the opposing team. The main objective of the offensive process is to score the opposing goal, which is also the game’s objective.
To help coaches develop their teams’ offensive process, we’ve prepared a new video with finishing exercises.
