DESCRIPTION
• each team defends and attacks one goal
• players pass by throwing
• players cannot take more than two steps with the ball
• possession changes if the ball is dropped, the other team intercepts the pass, a player takes more than two steps or a goal is scored
• players may not wrestle the ball from an opponent
• goal is scored by throwing it into opponent’s goal

VARIATION
• goal can be only scored by volleying or heading it into the goal (self pass is allowed)
• players can only catch and throw the ball with one hand
• play with goalies
• adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group

COACHING POINTS
• angle, distance and timing of support
• vision
• body position – open to field
• decision making
• verbal and visual communication
• accuracy

• play 2v2 in each half
• players must stay in their half

VARIATION
• vary numbers in each half
• the player who makes a pass into the attacking half may follow it to support the other attackers
• one attacking player is allowed into the defending half to advance the ball into the attacking half
• limit the number of touches
• adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group
