By itself, in a soccer game, the percentage of possession of the ball is not an absolute indicator of the team’s success, its victory, or a good soccer performance.
To determine possession of the ball as a factor allied to a good performance, we must combine it with other factors such as the number of attacks, goals conceded, or the effectiveness of the team. What good is it for a team to have a lot of ball possession, if it is in the defensive stronghold and the team can’t offensively transpose the ball?
However, we know that ball possession allows teams to advance on the ground and seek victory in games. Therefore, and to help you prepare training sessions aimed at ball possession exercises, we have prepared a new video to apply with your players.
