Ball possession in a game may not be the determining factor for a team’s victory.
This is how the October 13th game for the UEFA Nations League between Ukraine and Spain shows us. In the game, although Spain managed a total of 69% possession and more occasions of danger and shots on goal, Ukraine ended up winning the game by 0-1 after a goal by Tsygankov.
Although possession of the ball may not be the crucial factor when facing an effective team that knows how to take advantage of the attack opportunities it has, dominating the game through ball possession and combining that with several shots on goal with a high rate of effectiveness, can be determinant.
So that you can improve your team’s ball possession and, in a way, manage to dominate all games, we have prepared a new video with ball possession exercises.
